LG LT1000P vs LT1000PC vs LT1000PCS: Are They the Same Filter?
Quick answer
LG's LT1000 manual lists all three as replacement cartridges for the same filter system: LT1000P (ADQ74793501), LT1000PC (ADQ74793504) and LT1000PCS (ADQ74793505). [S1] Same system, same 200-gallon rating. LG doesn't explain the letter suffixes in the documents we read.
- Rated for 200 gallons or 6 months, whichever comes first. [S1] [S2]
- LG's data sheet says the system (MDJ64844601) is tested and certified by NSF against NSF/ANSI 42, 53 and 401. [S1] We haven't confirmed that in NSF's database yet.
- The Waterdrop replacement lists LT1000P, LT1000PC and LT1000PCS as compatible, but it was sold out when we checked. Its page says "Certified by NSF International" without naming an NSF/ANSI standard. [S4]

How to change it
LG's manual gives these steps. [S1]
- Replace the filter when the Filter Reset indicator turns on, about every six months.
- After the new filter is in, press and hold Filter Reset for 3 seconds.
- Run 2.5 gallons of water through the dispenser, about 5 minutes, and check for leaks.

What we could not verify
- What the P, PC and PCS suffixes mean. Retailer Q&As say P is a boxed single, PC a clamshell single and PCS a 2-pack, but LG's documents we read don't say.
- Claims from some buyers that the three have different connectors. Nothing in LG's documents supports this.
- NSF database confirmation for MDJ64844601 or the Waterdrop replacement (info.nsf.org unreachable on 2026-10-24).
- A full LG model list. We only list the models on LG's LT1000PC spec sheet.
