How to change it on the RF263BEAESR
- Shut off the water supply, then turn the filter about a quarter turn counter-clockwise. [S2]
- Pull the filter out. A little water can leak out; the manual says this is normal and suggests keeping the cartridge level as you pull it, then emptying the water filter tray. [S2]
- Push the new filter into the case and turn it clockwise until it locks. The lock symbol should line up with the indicator line. [S2]
- Reset the filter light: touch "Ice Type/Water, Hold 3 sec for Filter Reset" for about 3 seconds. The indicator goes from red to off. [S2]
- Turn the water back on and flush: dispense about 1 gallon (6 to 7 minutes) using the water setting. [S2] Then check inside the fridge for leaks around the filter. [S2]
